1. Teach the difference between good and bad manners. For example, teach children to eat with their mouths closed. Explain to them that eating with their mouth open is disgusting and no one wants to see that.

2. Teach children what good rewards come from good manners. For example, if a child belches and then covers their mouth, give them a piece of candy.

3. Remind children to eat without elbows on the table. Explain to children that putting their elbows on the table while eating is inappropriate.

4. Teach good posture. Show children the correct and incorrect ways to sit in a chair in different social settings.
