Finally a Los Alamos Tutor You Can Count On To Improve Your Child's Grades & Confidence

My Online or Face-to-Face Tutoring Guarantees Better Grades for Your Child

Consider the following statement:

You can succeed in math and physics!

This statement
(a) doesn't apply to you
(b) is a marketing slogan
(c) is a bald-faced lie
(d) is absolutely true, even when applied to you

The correct answer is (d). Let me tell you why.

Math and physics are tools that ordinary people can use to understand the world around them. They were developed by human beings, for human beings to use. You don't have to be a superhero to do math or physics!

Many students come to believe that they can't succeed in these areas. They may be challenged by the abstract reasoning, or discouraged by the level of effort that is required. Perhaps their class is not taught well, or in a way that makes sense to them. If they have trouble with even a single concept, they are likely to struggle with every future idea that builds on it.

For any of these reasons, many students buy into the common misconception that math or physics is "just too hard," or that "they're just not cut out to do it."

If that's what you think, you're wrong. How do I know that? I help students succeed in math and physics. I've never met a student who couldn't, if he/she was willing to work at it. If you will work with me, and you apply yourself, you will succeed too.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alan Harrison. I am a theoretical and computational physicist, and I use math and physics every day. When I was a small child I discovered the excitement and fun of mathematics and science, and I have been enjoying them for over half a century since. I'm very good at explaining them to people, and helping them to discover that excitement too.

If you struggle with math, physics, or related science classes—or even if you are doing okay, but not as well as you would like—I can help you. I’m a premier Los Alamos tutor that tutors students one-on-one, which has several advantages over the classroom and many other tutoring services.

First of all, you will work exclusively with me; you won't be passed around among different tutors. I'll get to know you, what you're good at and where you need help. I'll learn about your own learning style, what works for you to grasp a concept or learn a technique. Because you have my undivided attention, we'll be able to spend time on the topics that challenge you and move quickly through those that don't.

As part of your support team, I want to communicate with your teacher about how best to help you. I will give feedback to your parents if you are a high school student or if you are a college student and would like them in the loop. This team approach will contribute to your success.

Although I also tutor face-to-face, I think you'll find my online tutoring service particularly attractive. We will write on a "whiteboard" that we both can see, talk in real time using the telephone or VoIP, and share documents readily. We will work together on problems, diagrams and equations as if we were sitting side by side at a table.

I'd be happy to show you how easy it is. Since it’s online, you save the time, trouble and expense of traveling to a meeting place, and we can work at whatever day and time you and I agree on. You'll be able to save, print or email all the notes we made and the documents we shared.

I know there are a lot of tutoring services available to you, but I don't think you'll find another with more personal attention from a single dedicated tutor. Honestly, I don't think you'll find one that can teach you math or science, let alone show you the excitement in those subjects, better than I can.

Most of all, I really care about my students' success. Give me a try and I think you'll be able to see that for yourself.

While I do have openings at this time, slots are filling up fast. Don't delay. Call me for a free consultation today!
