UPromise: Saving Money for Your Child’s College Education

By Meaghan Montrose

Every parent wants to ensure the best life for their child. As good parents it is important to provide your child with everything he or she will need to be a successful and independent adult. One way to do this is by supporting and encouraging their education. With the growing cost of college education it is becoming harder and harder for parents to financially contribute. UPromise is an answer to this problem.

UPromise is a college savings service. It allows the entire family to help when they make purchases at participating stores and restaurants. A portion of the purchase is deposited into a tax-free college savings account by the participating partners.

The UPromise service seems to be a wonderful idea for any parent. You spend money at many of these stores and restaurants anyway, so why not get something back for it! The inspiration for this post came from the blog at PJMommy.com. Jessica recently posted a personal endorsement of the service and based on what I have read, I have to agree with her. Find out what she has to say in her post Saving Money with UPromise.
